Planar tweeter in a waveguide
Amberd carries the Top Line treble approach into a smaller cabinet: a planar tweeter shaped by a waveguide, so the speaker can hold its image outside a narrow sweet spot.
- Planar treble
- Integrated waveguide
- Stable image
A made-to-order two-way standmount for small-to-mid rooms — with bass reach, image scale, and material presence that feel out of proportion to its compact footprint.
Why it exists
Amberd is not a simplified version of a larger speaker. It is a compact Top Line design with its own acoustic logic: planar treble, controlled radiation, an extended PURIFI woofer, and an enclosure built from ARMAT X.
The target is a loudspeaker that can work near-field or far-field, look fresh in the room, and reach into the bass with a scale that feels improbable for its size.
Baffle and crossover
The crossover is not treated as hidden background electronics. Premium parts are potted into the ARMAT X top section, directly behind the tweeter — and that mass also acts as an acoustic diffuser for the tweeter's back-wave.
The hybrid baffle idea, scaled down to a compact enclosure without losing the part of the system that does the work.
Technical notes
Amberd carries the Top Line treble approach into a smaller cabinet: a planar tweeter shaped by a waveguide, so the speaker can hold its image outside a narrow sweet spot.
A PURIFI extended woofer gives Amberd unusual bass authority for its scale. The target is clean extension to 38 Hz before room gain — not the soft warmth that often passes for small-speaker bass.
The baffle follows the hybrid logic of the larger speakers, then adds a rear diffusion element behind the tweeter. That upper structure is part of the enclosure, crossover packaging, and acoustic behavior.
The crossover is positioned as a physical part of Amberd, not a hidden afterthought. Premium parts are potted into the ARMAT X top section behind the tweeter, where the mass also contributes to the rear geometry.
Amberd is a passive single-wire loudspeaker. It is meant to stay straightforward in system setup while retaining the material and acoustic seriousness of the Top Line family.
Room role
Amberd is meant for small-to-mid rooms where the loudspeaker must work visually as well as sonically. It can sit close enough for intimate listening, but is intended to hold together at a normal room distance.
Assembly
Driver, waveguide, ARMAT X shell, top-section crossover, diffuser geometry, and binding-post layout all occupy a small, deliberate volume.
Scale
The target is clean extension toward 38 Hz before room gain — low-frequency ambition that reads as texture and proportion, not as a larger box. Full measured curves ship with each pair.
Specifications
A passive, single-wire compact monitor with Top Line materials, serious bass ambition, and a distinctive acoustic structure behind the tweeter.
